One of the limited edition of this handsomely-printed R.R. Donnelley production, limited to 250 numbered copies -- this copy unnumbered, but where it states "This Is Number" the word "Number" has been crossed out and the word "for" handsomely calligraphed in black ink above it, and "The Honorable Adlai E. Stevenson" inked in afterward. Adlai E. Stevenson II (1900-65), Illinois governor and two-time presidential candidate, had just been nominated for his second run at the presidency when presented with this volume.
