Tight and nice later printing of this 1857 account of a Methodist Episcopal minister among the Native American tribes of the upper Midwest. A quite decent copy of a title commonly found in inferior condition. The full-page engravings depict "Montreal River Falls," "Horse-Shoe Harbor, Near Copper Harbor, L.S.," "Cliff Mine, Lake Superior" and "Big Bekuenesec Falls, Menomonee River."
