The son of the legendary humorist and actor was himself an actor (sometime playing his father in films such as "The Story of Will Rogers," 1952) as well as writer and one-term U.S. Congressman from California. Kirby was the popular co-host of "The Garry Moore Show" in the 1950s and "Candid Camera" in the 1960s. Berman is a pioneering American Jewish comedian, actor and writer. Signed First Day Cover, 6½" X 3½", cancelled in Claremore, Oklahoma on 4 November 1979 and with "First Day of Issue" boldly stamped. Fine. Handsome ArtCraft "Honoring Will Rogers" engraved cachet at left and 15-cent "Will Rogers" stamp at upper right. Berman signs boldly in black ballpoint at top center, while Rogers and Kirby each sign just below the cancellation in black fineline. An interesting trio. Item #36829
