This long-time Colorado senator (1876-82, 1885-1909) interrupted his lengthy Senate years to serve as Arthur's secretary of the interior (1882-85). Huge, bold signature and "Sec of the Interior" beneath penned in rich brown ink, 6 3/4" X 2", n.p., n.y. Fine. Undated, but obviously signed during his years as a cabinet member. An especially large and attractive example. Item #31655
