Discouraging advice to a would-be musician: "...The field is horribly overcrowded.... Better make your living some other way and keep music for your pleasure...." What aspiring musician wants to hear advice such as this: "You love music now; you will not if you become a professional...." Recommends one of his books and also Cooke's "Great Pianists on Piano Playing." With original envelope addressed by Finck. Comes with fine studio portrait, 8" X 10", n.p., n.d.
