This American naval officer was among those killed in the explosion of the Kearsarge on April 13, 1906, at Guantanamo, Cuba. Item #25832

Partly-printed ADS, 1p, 7½" X 3", Washington, DC, 1903 October 19. Near fine. Usual cancellation perforations, slightly affecting text. Check drawn on The Riggs National Bank, made out in Hudgins' hand to "Army and Navy Club" in the amount of $10 and boldly signed. Bank vignette at left.
