The Trail of the Sandhill Stag and 60 Drawings.

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1910. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Light green cloth, gilt. 93pp. Color frontispiece, 7 full-page plates, illustrations. Fair only. Tight-hinged, but badly dampstained, discoloring about 40% of the front board and much of the rear board; most text pages fairly attractive, though sporadic light dampstaining abounds. Interesting literary connection: Front flyleaf bears the bold pencilled ownership signature of Norman H. Wright (1910-2001), son of novelist HAROLD BELL WRIGHT (1872-1944), who authored such bestsellers as "The Shepherd of the Hills" (1907), "The Calling of Dan Matthews" (1909) and "The Winning of Barbara Worth" (1911) -- and whose descendants parted with much of HBW's personal library in December 2005. A printed statement signed by two descendants on behalf of the Harold Bell Wright Estate accompanies this volume, specifying that it came from HBW's personal library. Item #23846
