This Nebraska senator served as Secretary of the Interior under Eisenhower (1956-61). IPS, 8" X 10", n.p., n.d. [ca. 1960]. Very good. Less-than-perfect ink adhesion, accompanied by a few light smudges, on a number of letters. Attractive head-and-shoulders portrait while in the cabinet, with a large inscription on the blank lower margin: "To Peter Thayer with best wishes. / Fred A Seaton / Secretary of the Interior."
