Tight, quite nice first edition. Front pastedown bears the handsome Cornell University- and University of Kansas-themed bookplate of Deane W. Malott (1898-1996), a noted academic administrator and educator who served as assistant dean at Harvard Business School, chancellor of University of Kansas and president of Cornell University -- and half-title page bears a fine plate boldly inscribed and signed by the author: "to Deane Malott, / Here's hoping The Power Game / intrigues and informs you as / much as you say The Russians / did. I'm grateful to count / such an educator as you among / my followers and fans. Thank you, / Hedrick Smith / Fby 14, 1988."
