Handsome copy ("Authorized Edition") of this spinoff from the popular "Lassie" television series that ran from 1954 to 1973 with numerous cast and setting changes; the 1964-70 years are considered the "Ranger years," when Lassie left the Martin family and was taken in by a U.S. Forest Ranger. This copy bears choice autograph addition: Tipped to inner flyleaf is a fine, large, bold signature of June Lockhart (born 1925), who played Timmy's mother Ruth Martin (1958-64) on a heavy stock 5" X 3" card, dated by her 8 February 1989 at upper right. This publisher does not identify edition in a consistent, verifiable manner. Laid in is ideal bookmark: Lockhart's original signature transmittal envelope.
